The Northport Community Band will feature well-known Northport pianist and organist Bobbie Lange at its End of Summer concert. Mrs. Lange has taught countless local piano students and plays organ at Covenant Church in Northport, but her resume - from directing musicals to spotlight solo performances - is impressive. Bobbie and her husband, retiring Pastor Jerry Lange, are moving in six months, so this is a chance to hear her in some virtuoso playing, including Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” and other showcase piano pieces. 

The Northport Community Band will include several other light, crowd-pleasing pieces in their Sunday afternoon performance. The Band features musicians of all ages from Leelanau, Benzie and Grand Traverse Counties.
